baked brie & pecans

Food, and gathering around the table for our daily meals is such a big part of our home life and it is always nice when one of us tries something new that we all enjoy. I had been wanting to make a baked brie for some time and Thanksgiving seemed the perfect day to do it. It is not something I would make all the time but it is a nice holiday or dinner party treat. It is simple to make too!

Ingredients ::
One 9 ounce Brie Wheel
1/2 cup pecan pieces
3 Tablespoons maple syrup
3 Tablespoons brown sugar

Directions ::
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake Brie for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the Brie from the oven and let cool slightly.
While the Brie is cooling, place pecans on cooking tray and roast slightly, about 7-10 minutes.
Sprinkle the nuts over the cheese.
In a small saucepan combine syrup and sugar and bring to a boil until frothy, about 1-2 minutes.
Drizzle sauce over the Brie and pecans and serve with crackers or baguette slices!

P.s. I hope everyone has a lovely first day of December! It's a wonderful time to make one of these!

  1. I could demolish that right now with some fresh bread. This snow is making me H.U.N.G.R.Y

I read and cherish all of your comments! It really feels like such an honor that you stopped by this little space of mine. Thank you so much! Cheers!
